Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s former top adviser does not have a good feeling about how the war against Russia will end for his country.
Almost a year after Russia invaded, Oleksii Arestovych, former Strategic Communications Advisor to the Office of the President of Ukraine, says he believes that Ukraine will ultimately lose despite the money and war materiel flowing into the country from Western nations, mostly the United States thus far, although other NATO countries are beginning to step up.
Arestovych is speaking out after being dismissed by Zelenskyy’s government because now he is free to do so and does not have to generate any more propaganda on behalf of the regime in Kyiv.
“I’m an unofficial person already. I can say what I want. If everyone thinks we’re guaranteed to win the war, it’s very unlikely. What do you think, the assessment from the President of Poland, Duda, that it is generally unknown whether Ukraine will survive,” Arestovych said.
“And he wasn’t the only one who said about the crucial months. Was it just said that way, or was he talking about it based on some information?” he noted further, according to Big League Politics.

All said, the West is continuing to pour more and lethal weapons into Ukraine.
“The Biden administration announced Wednesday that it will send 31 of its premier battle tanks to Ukraine, following agreement with Germany to deliver scores of its Leopard 2 tanks from across Europe. The decisions end months of debate among Western allies and pave the way for a major shift in the balance of power on the Ukrainian battlefield,” the Washington Post reported this week.
The report added:
President Biden said after morning calls with European leaders that the decisions belied Russian President Vladimir Putin’s belief that the West would eventually tire of its commitment to Ukraine and “break up” their coalition.
“We are fully, totally and completely united,” Biden said during a brief address at the White House. “Today’s announcement builds on the hard work and commitment of countries around the world. … That’s what this is about — helping Ukraine defend and protect Ukrainian land.” If Russian troops “return to Russia … where they belong,” he said, “this war will be over today.”
That said, the West has been anything but united over the past several weeks, as U.S. frustrations grew with its NATO allies over their reluctance to step up and provide better aid to Ukraine after American taxpayers have spent tens of billions in terms of monetary aid and military assistance over the past 11 months, often to the detriment of American war stocks. Germany continually refused to send its tanks to Ukraine or to allow other countries that had purchased the Leopard 2 tanks to do so unless the U.S. agreed to send the M1 Abrams tanks. The Defense Department had been saying for months, however, that the M1s were far too complex for transfer and use by Ukrainian forces, so it’s not clear what changed.
Biden gave some congrats to German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, saying that “Germany has really stepped up.” Berlin “didn’t force me to change our mind,” he said. “We wanted to make sure we’re all together.”
The WaPo added: “In Europe, the goal is to quickly assemble two Leopard tank battalions — equivalent to at least 70 tanks. As a first step, Germany will provide a company of 14 Leopard 2 A6 tanks from its army’s stocks, the government in Berlin said in a statement. European allies will also provide tanks with German approval. Germany’s Ministry of Defense said it aims for the tanks to be on the battlefield by the end of March. That leaves a tight window for logistics and training — which is expected to begin within days.”
We are inching ever closer to World War III, which is something that no one should want.
