Here we have yet another example of the “tolerant left” proving to the world that they are anything but.
Lucian Wintrich, a conservative speaker and White House Correspondent for The Gateway Pundit, was recently invited to deliver a speech at the University of Connecticut by the school’s College Republicans group. Unfortunately, the liberal students at the school and even some left wing faculty members couldn’t handle someone threatening their safe spaces from the other side of the political spectrum.
The majority of Wintrich’s speech, which was titled “It’s Okay To Be White,” was drowned out by the sounds of protesters yelling and chanting “go home Nazi.” Wintrich was also called a racist numerous times by students in the crowd, even though there’s no evidence whatsoever that supports the idea that Wintrich believes the white race is superior to others.
At one point during his speech, a woman approached Wintrich at the podium and after a few moments of aggressive yelling and harassment, actually swiped Wintrich’s papers and started to walk away with them. When Wintrich chased her down in an attempt to get his materials back, the woman fell to the floor and Wintrich was arrested. As the conservative speaker was driven away in the back of a police car, a violent mob of students chased him and the vehicle down the street.
Some may make the argument that it was unwise to show up at a public university in one of the bluest states in the country with a speech called “It’s Okay To Be White,” but that’s not the point. The fact of the matter is that most young people today have all but lost their ability to rationally debate ideas and react calmly when presented with opinions that differ from their own. There are many reasons for this, but one of the more significant reasons has to do with what young people are being taught about the conservative right in classrooms across the country. (Related: A university professor has claimed that math is racist because it gives whites an unfair advantage.)
Indeed, the reason why liberal students think so poorly of conservatives and automatically attribute them to racism and sexism is because that’s exactly what they are being taught. One of the most prominent examples of students being taught to hate conservatives happened back in 2014 at Eastern Connecticut State University, when creative writing professor Brent Terry told his class that Republicans were “racist, misogynist, money-grubbing people.”
…”racist, misogynist, money-grubbing people have so much power over the rest of us. And want things to go back – not to 1955, but to 1855,” Terry told his students. “There are a lot of people out there who do not want black people to vote, do not want Latinos to vote. Do not want old people to vote, or young people to vote. Because generally, people like you are liberal.”
More recently, a history professor at San Diego State University told a room full of students that President Trump is a “racist.”
“Sometimes we also assume that because someone voted for Trump, some people voted for Trump despite the fact that Trump is a racist, not because he is a racist,” the professor said. “Certainly there’s a lot of people who voted for [Trump] because they’re, there’s certainly a phenomenon there that points towards racism.” (Related: A lunatic liberal college professor has claimed that meritocracy is a principle rooted in white racism.)
Of course, these are just two examples out of hundreds of professors indoctrinating their students to believe that conservatives are hateful, racist bigots. If young people are constantly exposed to this sort of rhetoric and propaganda, is it any wonder why they act the way that they do when a conservative comes to their college or university to deliver a speech?
